Infinix new device, the Infinix Smart 3 Plus is a budget device made to target the youths as it spots latest smartphone designs and also improved camera setup.
It is the second Infinix device after the Infinix Hot S4 with the triple camera setup.
Design and Display
The first noticeable change in the Infinix Smart 3 plus is the trendy dew drop notch that houses the front camera. Flipping the phone over to the back reveals a triple camera setup accompanied by a LED flash and a fingerprint sensor.
There is also cut out for 3.5mm Audio Jack, USB C port and speaker. Like most Infinix devices under this category, the body of the phone is made of durable plastic and the screen has 2.3D protection. You can also get the device in Cosmic Purple, Midnight Black, Aqua Blue and Bordeaux Red.
The Infinix Smart 3 Plus sports a 6.21 inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a 720 x 1520 pixel resolution. The display accounts for over 81% screen to body resolution thanks to the dewdrop notch and the minimal chin bezel. The display aspect ratio is 19:9, providing a better view for entertainment.
Camera
Despite being promoted as an AI-enabled device triple camera setup, the Infinix Smart 3 Plus camera is still everything you will find in a budget device. The rear camera has a 13 MP main shooter with f/1.8 aperture supported by a 2MP and QVGA lenses. There is also a dual LED flash for illumination. The selfie shooter is an 8MP lens with facial unlock technology
Hardware Components (Processor and Memory)
The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset (an improvement over the HOT 7 series) spotting four ARM Cortex A53 cores, with the maximum speed of 2200 MHz (2.2 GHz). This is further aided by PowerVR GE8320 GPU clocked at 570 MHz.
In the memory segment, there is a variation with 2GB of RAM space (the speed at 933 MHz) for multitasking, or you can opt for the better 3GB of RAM space variation. Either way, you get 32GB of storage space, expandable to 128GB via external storage card (MicroSD).
Battery and OS
Unlike the HOT series with 4000mAh batteries, the SMART 3 Plus has a non-removable 3500 mAh battery, though it can give you about 30 Hours talk time on 3G. There is no fast charge support on board.
The device runs the Android 9 Pie OS under the Infinix XOS 5 skin out of the box.
