What are MagicBands? MagicBands are a product with an NFC chip. The information on this chip is connected to your Disneyland App account (or the My Disney Experience app for Walt Disney World).
They may be compared to using your smartwatch to pay using Apple or Google Pay. It can save data from your Disneyland App. Additionally, data include your digital room key, the card connected to your account, ticket details, etc.
Additionally, your Disneyland App account is connected to the data on this chip (or the My Disney Experience app for Walt Disney World).
How Do Magicbands Works
MagicBands need RF technology to function. You are connected to your MyDisneyExperience account via a radio transmission between the MagicBand and the device.
You must have your Walt Disney World Resort reservation linked to your MyDisneyExperience account to utilize the bands to open your hotel room door.
Additionally, the entry tickets for a theme park or water park must be linked to your MyDisneyExperience account to utilize the bands to enter.
In addition, you must have the Genie+ reservations in your MyDisneyExperience account to utilize the bands for Lightning Lane.
Furthermore, you must have a credit card on file with your Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation to use point-of-sale purchases with the bands.
In conclusion, if you do not have a MyDisneyExperience account, you cannot use MagicBands. Furthermore, if you do not have a Walt Disney World Resort hotel room reservation, you cannot use MagicBand to access your room.
Additionally, you cannot use Magic Band to enter the parks if you do not link your theme park or water park admission to your MyDisneyExperience.
